Expert application technique:

For a professional-looking application, use a foundation brush to blend foundation. To set foundation and prolong wear, dust translucent powder on top of foundation.

What's an undertone?

It's the hint of color under your skin that helps make it unique. True Match goes beyond light and dark to capture your skin's specific undertones. Below are some helpful hints to determine yours:

  • Warm: Your undertone is warm if you look best in gold jewelry, you tan easily and the veins inside your wrist are more blue.
  • Neutral: Your undertone is neutral if all types of jewelry look good on you, you tan and burn when not wearing sunscreen and the veins inside your wrist are blue/green.
  • Cool: Your undertone is cool if silver jewelry looks best on you, you burn easily and the veins inside your wrist are more green.

Find your True Match

Take the guesswork out of finding the perfect foundation shade

True Match offers superblendable, true-to-you shades that precisely match your skin’s texture and tone for flawless results every time. With over 30 shades, here’s the secret to finding the one that’s best for you:

  • Step 1: Determine your skin tone. There are seven possible tones: fair, fair light, light, light medium, medium, medium deep and deep. To determine yours, focus on the area of your face near the jaw line and not the cheek because the latter tends to be a bit more pigmented and less reflective of your true tone.
  • Step 2: Find your undertone. The undertone is the hint of color under your skin, which makes your skin unique. If you receive the most compliments when you wear shades of brown, dark green, and orange, your undertone is warm. If you receive the most compliments when you wear pink, rose, or pastel shades, your undertone is cool. If you receive compliments across a variety of shades, your undertone is neutral.
  • Step 3: The perfect combination together with your skin tone and undertone determines your True Match, making it simple to find the shade that’s right for you. Remember: your skin tone can change with the seasons and with age, so you may need to update your foundation from time to time to make sure the shade is true to you.
  • Step 4: The right application. To even out skin tone and imperfections, use your middle finger to apply product only where you need it, most likely along the t-zone and any trouble spots. Remember: you don’t need a lot of product, so use sparingly.

The new natural: How to get the 'no-makeup' look

The natural look is all about perfecting your skin. The right products will enhance your skin’s natural tone and texture, for a flawless and luminous complexion. Always in style and ultimately wearable, this barely-there makeup look can take you anywhere, day or night.

Working with your skin’s natural coloring is key to this look. You want to even out your complexion, conceal redness and create a natural radiance. Find your perfect shade of True Match Super Blendable Makeup and apply it only where you need coverage. The perfect match should practically disappear against your natural skin tone. Blend with a sponge or your fingertips.

Take the guesswork out of finding the perfect shade with L'Oreal ParisTrue Match Makeup

To add a fresh, healthy, natural-looking glow, dust on True Match Blush. Brush it on places where the sun normally kisses your face, like your forehead, cheeks, and the bridge of your nose. For a burst of color, sweep it across eyelids when you’re on the go.

To keep shine at bay, set your look with a sweep of True Match Powder. Apply to the t-zone area, like the forehead, chin, and cheeks, and blend out. This final finish helps your look last. Or, use it for quick touch-ups during the day to keep skin looking fresh.

If you need additional coverage in specific areas, reach for True Match Concealer and apply it after foundation, not before.
